Former Senior Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati is presently being held by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
News filtered in Monday night that the former presidential spokesman was invited by the anti-graft agency for yet unspecified reason.
Calls put through to the mobile line of EFCC media man, Wilson Uwujaren, were not picked.
However, it is understood that Abati’s detention may not be unconnected with the ongoing war against corruption.
It was gathered that he is being questioned for allegedly receiving some money from former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd).
