Democracy Day: FG Declares Monday, May 30 Work Free Day

    The Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd), has said the Federal Government has declared, Monfay, May 30 as public holiday.

    This is to mark Democracy Day.

    The Minister assured Nigerians that with the signing into law of the 2016 Appropriation Act, the country would witness a “New Deal.

    In a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Bassey Akpanyung quotedthe Ministe: “Dambazau congratulates Nigerians on the attainment of one year in office of President Muhammadu Buhari and enjoined all to continue to support the President in his sustained effort in building a peaceful, enduring and democratic legacy.

    “The minister wishes all Nigerians a happy Democracy Day celebration.”
