Edo State Government has declared Tuesday and Wednesday,(September27 and 28), next week public holidays.
This is to enable voters to exercise their franchise in the September 28 governorship election in the state.
Edo Governor Adams Oshiomhole announced the holidays, Saturday, at an event organised by the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress in his honour in Benin City.
He stated that the purpose of the holidays was to enable workers travel to where they registered as voters to exercise their voting rights.
