Ex-VP, Namadi Sambo loses sibling

    Alhaji Suleiman Sambo, elder brother of former Vice President and Kaduna State Governor Arc Mohammed Namadi Sambo, passed away on Monday, November 4, at 82 years of age after a prolonged illness.

    He was survived by his wife, 11 children, 52 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren.

    Suleiman had a notable career in the Department of Government Printing within the former Ministry of Information and Home Affairs in Kaduna State, retiring in 1994 as a Chief Superintendent after 35 years.

    The funeral, held at Bashama Road Cemetery in Kaduna, was led by Ustaz Sadiq Yusuf, Chief Imam of Kaduna Polytechnic Central Mosque.

    In his remarks, Ustaz Yusuf praised Alhaji Suleiman’s commitment to religious tolerance and peacebuilding, urging attendees to follow his example of devotion to Allah and community service.
