Explosives planted by Lakurawa terrorists in Sokoto community detonates, killing 6 people

    At least six people have died after after some Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) planted by the Lakurawa terrorists in Gwabro village in Tangaza Local Government Area (LGA) of Sokoto state detonated.

    Security expert, Bakatsine confirmed that the attack was carried out on Sunday, June 8 by the Lakurawa terrorist group.

    He said, “Six confirmed dead in Gwabro village, Tangaza LGA of Sokoto after an IED believed to have been planted by Lakurawa exploded.

    “This gang has a track record of violence in the area.”

    The Lakurawa terrorist group has been terrorizing communities in the region through kidnappings, extortion, and targeted violence.

    However, security officials have not yet commented on the issue.
