The Federal Government has officially launched the second phase of the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme, NJFP 2.0, aimed at providing 12-month paid internship opportunities for young Nigerian graduates.
The initiative, which offers a monthly stipend of N150,000, seeks to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical workplace experience.
According to programme details, applicants must be 30 years old or younger, have graduated no earlier than 2022, and possess at least a BSc with a minimum CGPA of 2.2 or HND with a minimum CGPA of 3.0. In addition, candidates are required to have completed the NYSC or obtained an exemption certificate.
Interested applicants are encouraged to visit njfp.ng/apply to begin the application process. Both prospective fellows and host organizations are to register on the portal, complete the online form, and follow the outlined steps. All eligibility criteria and mandatory information must be met to ensure successful registration.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, who inaugurated the Project Steering Committee at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, said the NJFP 2.0 represents a renewed national effort to bridge the gap between learning and earning for thousands of qualified but unemployed graduates.
He described the initiative as a deliberate attempt to translate the nation’s demographic strength into productive economic power, stressing that inclusivity and accountability will guide the programme’s implementation.
“We have an opportunity here to demonstrate what partnership done right can achieve,” Shettima said, adding that the project will focus on tangible outcomes that positively impact lives rather than mere statistics.
The NJFP 2.0 aims to create at least 20,000 jobs annually, with priority given to strategic growth sectors such as agriculture, digital technology, renewable energy, manufacturing, and the creative industries.
