The North East Governors’ Forum (NEGF) has urged the North East Development Commission (NEDC) to consult with six states on project and their sites in the region.
This is contained in a communiqué at the end of the fifth meeting of the governors in Jalingo, Taraba State.
“We are deeply concerned over the lack of consultation between the commission and various states in the region, on projects and their sites,” said NEGF Chairman, Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State.
According to him, the governors lamented the slow pace of projects and the ongoing ones in Adamawa, Borno, Bauchi, Taraba, Gombe and Yobe states.
Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, will host the forum’s next meeting on October 9, 2021.
