A pastor and a woman whose names were not revealed have been killed by unknown gunmen in Jalingo, Taraba state.
The state’s police spokesperson, Superintendent (SP) Usman Abdullahi, revealed that this incident took place in the late hours of Friday, December 6.
He stated that the woman was shot in the stomach while studying for an exam in one of the rooms of the church and the pastor was also shot in his room by the gunmen.
SP Usman, however, mentioned that the gunmen did not abduct anyone or steal money or valuables from the two houses they raided.
He did not reveal the names of the victims or provide information on whether any arrests had been made.
