Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has debunked viral claims suggesting he was killed during a recent attack allegedly linked to Iranian forces amid the ongoing tensions in the middle east.
The rumours circulated widely online following reports of fresh hostilities involving Israel and Iran, sparking speculation about the Israeli leader’s fate.
However, Netanyahu appeared in a video shared on his official page on X, where he was seen sitting inside a coffee shop and addressing the claims directly while reassuring the public.
In the video, Netanyahu could be heard saying: “They say I’m what? Watch.
“I’m dying for coffee, you know what I mean? But for my people & how they behave, fantastic.
“To those going abroad: go, but stay near a protected area.
“Your support is amazing, it empowers me, the gov, the IDF. We’re doing things I can’t share now, but very strong ops in Iran & Lebanon today too.
“To everyone: keep following Home Front Command orders at all times. Even heads of state, always near a protected room. We’ll do our best. Thanks for the coffee.”
The video was apparently intended to dispel the speculation and reassure Israelis as the security situation in the region remains tense, with ongoing military operations involving the Israel Defense Forces, IDF, and heightened alert directives from the Israel Home Front Command, HFC.
