It would have been another sad tale last Sunday if the military had not rescued 43 abducted persons and recovered 500 cows from Boko Haram terrorists in Mafa Local Government Area, Borno.
Reports have it that the terrorist group had invade Mafa community in the early hours of Sunday, abducting 43 residents and stealing 500 cows.
The suspected terrorists were said to have abducted some cattle rearers and livestock at gunpoint at Dalakalari general area in Mafa Local Government Area.
Some well meaning people informed the military who swung into action and decided to give the terrorists a chase.
The terrorists, sensing danger, ran and abandoned the livestock just before Panamri village and ran away.
The troops were able to rescue the 43 persons and 500 cows taken by the terrorists.
