He was buried at the Danmarna Cemetery in Katsina, Katsina State, according to Islamic rites. The Janazah (funeral prayers) was led by Imam Gambo Mustapha Amadu of the Katsina Central Mosque. Hassan described the late executive director of Max Air as a hard working committed aviator. In his words, “although you left suddenly, you lived a meaningful life and contributed your quota to making the world a better place, especially for the teeming Nigerian pilgrims who have had cause to fly Max Airline. “Your willingness and commitment to helping the Hujjaj were second to none. NAHCON and indeed the entire hajj family can never forget you. My heartfelt sympathy goes to the entire Mangal family and in particular, Alh Dahiru Mangal, and his friends, on this colossal loss.” “May Allah give them the fortitude to bear the loss.
