The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Kelvin Aneke, has approved a major redeployment of senior officers in the Nigerian Air Force, NAF, as part of efforts to strengthen command efficiency and enhance operational performance.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Vice Marshal Ehimen Ejodame, announced that the latest postings affect several key positions at the Force Headquarters, field commands, and operational units nationwide.
According to Ejodame, the reshuffle is designed to optimise command effectiveness, improve decision-making, and reinforce mission readiness in line with the Air Force’s evolving security and strategic priorities.
Among those affected by the redeployment are Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Abdullahi, appointed Chief of Policy and Plans; Air Vice Marshal Adeniran Ademuwagun, now Commandant of the Air Force Institute of Technology, AFIT, Kaduna; and Air Vice Marshal Ibitayo Ajiboye, appointed Group Managing Director of Nigerian Air Force Investment Limited, NAFIL.
Others include Air Vice Marshal Precious Amadi, now Chief of Operations; Air Vice Marshal Nnamdi Ananaba, taking over as Chief of Air Intelligence; Air Vice Marshal Ebimobo Ebiowe, now Superintendent of Standards and Evaluation; Air Vice Marshal Ahmed Dari, appointed Chief of Training; and Air Vice Marshal Mohammed Ibrahim, who now heads the Transformation and Innovation Branch, underscoring the service’s renewed focus on technology-driven operations.
Ejodame added that the redeployment reflects Air Marshal Aneke’s commitment to maintaining an agile and adaptive force capable of addressing Nigeria’s complex security challenges.
