Pastor Oloruntimilehin Daramola, founder of The Omnipotence Mission of God (TOMOG) church, has urged his congregation to get fortified against potential terrorist attacks.
In a viral TikTok video posted on Monday, the pastor encouraged his church members to take active steps to prepare for the attacks following the recent church attack in Kwara.
“Go and do it, let me tell you, all my members must do it.
“If I say they should do it and they don’t, I will send them away, because I don’t want any of my members to die.
“I am a good shepherd. I cannot be looking while my members are being killed,” he said.
He cited previous attacks on churches in Owo and Kaduna, noting that even those who called on Jesus were not spared.
“When they got to Owo, that church, some people shouted the name of Jesus.
“Jesus had the power to save them, but Jesus said until you get to heaven.
“In Kaduna, the churches that they attacked, several of them called on the name of Jesus, but they were still killed.
“Why? Jesus said we will meet in heaven,” he said.
He also referenced Nigeria’s historical and regional divisions, suggesting that peaceful separation of regions could be considered if the current union becomes unsustainable.
Pastor Daramola claimed his church has branches in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Nigeria, and invited followers to meet him privately for further guidance on protective measures.
Addressing critics, he dismissed claims that he relied on charms, emphasizing that his instructions are meant to safeguard his members.
“If they like, let them refer to me as that pastor who is talking about charms.
“I don’t have any powers, but if you put me on the ground, I will bite you,” he stated.
Returning to his main message, he told congregants to implement practical and, at times, unconventional methods to protect themselves, warning that anyone who ignored his guidance would be expelled from the church.
He also called on the federal government to allow citizens to access firearms for self-protection.
