Ritualists have reportedly murdered a woman identified as Iya Dupe and dismembered her body in her residence at Aba Alfa community, Boluwaji area of Ibadan, Oyo state.
Eyewitnesses said the victim, who had been slightly ill, went out around 9 p.m. on Tuesday to buy bread but never returned.
Neighbours who checked on her in her home on Wednesday morning discovered her mutilated body, with vital organs, including her head and breasts, removed.
The incident reportedly occurred overnight.
Residents have expressed concern over the increasing trend of ritual-related killings in Ibadan despite heightened security measures.
Community leaders stated that the Oyo state police command and the Amotekun corps have been informed about the incident.
They urged government and security agencies to step up patrols and ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.
