Vice president Kashim Shettima, former United Kingdom (UK) prime minister, Boris Johnson and other global political and business leaders have gathered in Owerri to attend the 2025 Imo state economic summit.
The summit on Thursday, December 4, also saw the attendance of Liberian president Joseph Boakai and former United Nations (UN) secretary-general Ban Ki-Moon.
Also in attendance are state governors, Aliko Dangote, chairman of the Dangote Group, and Benedict Oramah, former president of the African Export–Import Bank (Afreximbank), among others.
The summit aims to boost investment in Imo state and across Nigeria.
