Following his failure to honour the invitation extended to him by the State Security Service on Thursday, security operatives were at Mallam Nasir el-Rufai’s house to pick him up.
The former Minister’s son, Bello El-Rufai announced the visit of the SSS officers on twitter via his twitter handle @B_ELRUFAI. He tweeted “The SS just came to our house to “arrest” Mallam. They got told he had gone to pray and asked for his children and their mother.” His second tweet read ” They threatened to force their way through the gate when they come back. You don’t need to force your way if you have an arrest warrant”.
Malam El Rufai had stated that he would not honour the invitation and that he would prefer to meet the Director at home. He also urged the operatives that would come to get an arrest warrant.
