Travellers from Abuja to the eastern and southern part of the country -Edo, Rivers, Cross River, Delta – among others, should try, if possible, to avoid Lokoja, because students of Kogi State University, have shut down the city.
Reports just coming in, Thursday morning, said students of the institution have barricaded the major road through the state capital, Lokoja, thus leaving many travellers stranded.
The students are said to be protesting the prolonged closure of their school.
Recall lecturers of the school and the state government have been at logger head over unpaid salaries running into five months.
