President Bola Tinubu has officially established the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem and Appeal Fund.
At a ceremony held in the council chambers of the state house on Tuesday, October 29, Tinubu praised the Armed Forces for their critical role as Nigeria’s primary line of defense.
He highlighted the military’s ongoing efforts in addressing security challenges nationwide and emphasized that without security, peace and development are unattainable.
Tinubu commended the Armed Forces for their enduring dedication to Nigeria’s unity, stability, and progress.
In tribute to fallen heroes, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, pledged N500 million on behalf of government officials.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced a donation of N200 million on behalf of the National Assembly, while the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, pledged N50 million on behalf of the service chiefs and the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
