According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Kogi state sector commander, Tenimu Etuku, in a statement on Saturday, the crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. in Iboko community, Idah local government area.
Etuku said the accident involved an 18-seater Toyota Hiace bus operated by Romchi Mass Transit, which was traveling from Abuja to the eastern part of the country.
The bus collided with a parked, faulty articulated vehicle.
The sector commander attributed the crash to overspeeding.
