Scores of people are feared to have died in a bomb blast that rocked an area near the Monday Market in Maiduguri on Tuesday morning. The explosion took place close to the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) building.
Though the casualty figure could not be ascertained at the time of filing the report, but witnesses say lots of people were injured. The blast occured around 8. 25 am when people were settling in for the day’s business.
Emergency officials are already on the scene.
